I became a certified megaformer trainer in 2014 when the barre studio where I taught (barre.) purchased 8 megaformer machines. I was so enamored with the workout that in late 2016, I purchased the megaformers from barre, and opened MEGAfit LLC. MEGAfit was a boutique fitness studio that thrived until March 2020 when COVID-19 changed the fitness landscape, and I made the decision to sell 6 of the megaformers and open a personalized training studio in my home gym.
In addition to my Lagree Certification, I hold a 500 hour advanced certification in Yoga and have taught barre and yoga since 2012/2013 respectively. Prior to changing careers, I practiced law for the law firm now known as DLA Piper and taught as an adjunct professor at the University of Baltimore School of Law.
The megaformer is a uniquely versatile machine that is adaptable to almost every fitness level. In most of the Lagree studios (there are many worldwide), the workout is considered especially challenging. While this can be true, it doesn't necessarily have to be that way. It can be adapted to accommodate beginners, those healing from injuries, student athletes, older people seeking to improve current fitness levels, and top athletes who require an extra-challenging workout. With only one or two clients in a session, I can design the workout to perfectly meet the needs of most people.
